TAX Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) continues to flourish, with its 100th programme starting this week.
Thanks to the initiative, more than USD 1.6 billion in additional tax revenues have been raised so far by developing countries through domestic resource mobilisation. Today, the TIWB audit assistance model is being applied to criminal tax investigations and the effective use of information exchanged automatically between governments, both of which help fight illicit financial flows. New pilot programmes will also cover natural resource and environmental tax issues. |
