WITH the amendments in Article 26 of dozens of DTAAs relating to exchange of
banking information, India is all set to reap the benefits in the coming years.
As per the MoS(R) statement in the Rajya Sabha, India has received 'vital
inputs' relating to 1500 transactions from Denmark and Finland.
Meanwhile, the Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, informed the Lok
Sabha that India has received some information from France about Indians'
accounts in a Swiss Bank, and the agencies concerned have been examining
them.
