PARIS, JULY 12, 2010: THE latest
OECD composite leading indicators (CLIs) for May 2010 indicate new peaks in
growth cycle in France, Italy, China and India. The good news for the global
economy is that tentative signs of growth have emerged in Canada, the USA and
Brazil. The CLIs for Germany, Japan, the USA and Russia continue to indicate
that the on-going growth is likely to be sustained, but perhpaps at a slower
rate.
The
OECD Development Centre’s new Asian Business Cycle Indicators (ABCIs) for the
ASEAN countries, point to a general gain in the momentum of recovery in the
second quarter of 2010.
