IN a major move, the New Zealand Govt has expressed its intention to
alter the present GST system, allowing foreign business to claim GST
refunds.
As
per the Govt, the tax system should be neutral to both resident and non-resident
companies but the present system is a bottleneck for the non-resident companies
to do business in the country. Very soon, Govt is going to put in place a new
registration system for foreign companies.
