Vodafone top management meets FM By TII News Service May 02, 2012 , New Delhi
IN a predictable development, the top management of the Vodafone Plc met the Union Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, and the Finance Secretary in North Block yesterday. The purpose of the meeting was to sensitise the Govt about how badly the proposed retro-amendments in the I-T Act have damaged the investment climate in India. It is learnt that the Vodafone also clearly showed its overtures for amicable settlement of the issue. Whether it would happen or not would depend on the reaction of the Parliament when the Bill is debated and passed, said an official.
