TO step up their bilateral trade Japan and Taiwan are likely to sign a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement in the coming months. It may be recalled that both the countries had inked an investment pact last year.

What may hasten both the sides in signing the tax treaty is the recent improvement in Taiwan and China trade relations.
