ISLE of Man and Qatar last Sunday signed a Double
Taxation Avoidance Agreement. This happens to be the 30th Agreement of
Isle of Man, which is in a hurry to meet the OECD international tax standards
on transparency and effective exchange of information.
The
Tresury Minister of Isle of Man reportedly said that his department has plans
to send a high-level delegation to Qatar to explore opportunities the DTAA
creates.
