By TII News Service
Apr 19, 2012 , New Delhi

HAVING seen the success of the Tourist Visa On Arrival Scheme, which was launched in 2010, and extended to only five countries, India has now extended it to six more countries. The foreign nationals from these 11 countries can avail this facility by paying USD 60 in local current on arrival to not all but only four international airports - Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. And these 11 countries are - Cambodia, Finland, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Luxembourg, Myanmar, Philippines, New Zealand, Singapore and Vietnam.

This scheme is available to non-residents visiting India for media treatment, tourism or casual business meeting. Visa is to be granted to foreign nationals with at least six months of passport validity. Under this scheme, a single entry visa is to be provided for a maximum 30 days. It can be availed only twice in a calender year but with a gap of at least two months.
