NON-RESIDENTS living in Ukraine are faced with tough times for filing
their income tax returns. Most foreigners register themselves with Central tax
office in Kyiv for identification number but they are required to file
declarations at district tax offices, which generally do not have their
databases and often decline to accept their returns.
In
view of the difficulties faced by non-residents, lesser returns have been filed
notwithstanding a nationwide campaign. Experts say that thanks to these issues,
the exchequer has lost hundreds of thousands of dollar revenue in Kyiv
alone.
