THE much-debated plan to levy income
tax on foreign workers has finally been dropped. As per media reports,
such a plan was designed to help the Government tide over the budgetary
woes.
The
Cayman Islands is worldwide known as a tax haven. However, with the flight
of capital the Government has been facing fiscal deficit, and to overcome
the same it has proposed 'community enhancement fee'. But the same has
now been scrapped.
