WITH the G-20 building pressure against tax havens, and the UK playing an active role in the global campaign, the Channel Island of Jersey has reportedly threatened to snap off its 900 years of assoication with the British Crown.

Recently, the low-tax status of the island has come under the recession-hit Britain, which appears to be tightening its regulatory frameworks against wealthy individuals and MNCs.
