IT is reported by the media that the Australian Revenue has cracked down on Apple with a bill of USD 28.5 mn.

Apple in Australia is managed by Apple Operations International, which is a subsidiary of the US major and is located in Cork, Ireland. Since Ireland has of late emerged as a popular tax haven because of low corporate tax rate, Apple has come under the probe for transferring its income there.
