THE OECD Composite leading indicators (CLIs) for the current
quarter has shown diverging growth patterns in economic outlook of OECD area,
Euro area and major five in Asia. The CLIs have indicated firm growth in the US
and the UK; growth picking up in Japan and Brazil; weak growth in Canada and
France and growth below trend in China, India and Russia.
In
the Euro Area the growth is stabilizing as a whole, particularly in Italy and
Germany. However in France growth is expected to remain weak. In Asia the growth
is stabilising but China and India show below trend growth as compared with more
positive signals in last month's assessment along with Russia.
