WITH the signing of tax information exchange agreement with France,
Panama has yesterday moved to the OECD's list of nations which have
substantially complied with the global norms.
As per OECD, Panama
has now become the 39th jurisdiction to do so since the progress report was
first issued in April 2009.
“Panama has worked hard to achieve this
milestone, making remarkable strides toward complying with the international
standards in a very short time. This is very welcome and shows the Global Forum
is achieving its aims,” said OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurria.
