IN the much-celebrated case of black money, the Division Bench of
Supreme Court, hearing the Union Govt's review petition challenging the earlier
ruling for setting up Special Investigating Team (SIT) today referred the issue
to the CJI on maintainability of the review petition.
It is
learnt that there wre differences of opinion between Justices Altamas
Kabir and S S Nijjar. Justice Nijjar was member of the Bench along with former
Judge, Justice B Sudarshan Reddy, who ordered the Union Govt to set up a
12-member SIT under the supervision of two retired judges.
The Division bench
asked the registry to place the case file before Chief Justice who will
constitute an appropriate bench.
